Often called the most beautiful beach in South Africa, Clifton 4th Beach is Cape Town at its most glamorous. Tucked between giant granite boulders and the steep slopes of Lion's Head, with the Atlantic stretching out in every direction and Table Mountain rising dramatically behind you, this is the kind of place that makes you stop and wonder if it's real. The four Clifton beaches are sheltered from the Cape's notorious south-easter wind, which makes them the calmest and most consistently gorgeous spots on the peninsula for an outdoor shoot. The soft white sand, crystalline water, and extraordinary interplay of rock, mountain, and ocean create a backdrop that works beautifully at any time of day but reaches peak magic in the hour before sunset. Cape Town's golden hour is something else entirely, and Clifton is the best seat in the house. *Please note that the weather, especially the wind, can be unpredictable in Cape Town. Please be aware of this ahead of time and bring a hair tie!
