“ Michael was great! I put him in a bit of a tough position by proposing at the San Diego Zoo without a very fleshed out plan. He took some candid photos of the actual proposal, then worked with us to find great backdrops and still get some amazing posed photos. He made us feel comfortable and the whole experience was fun. “ If I could give Darian 10 stars, I would - and that still wouldn’t be enough. We’ve had a lot of photoshoots in our life (a lot-a lot), but this one instantly went into the “top of all time” category. Darian somehow managed the impossible: photographing two humans and two tiny dogs who cannot stand still for more than half a second, especially at 6:30 AM, especially the morning after Thanksgiving, when both food and wine should’ve been legally classified as performance-destroying substances. But no. Miraculously, we look fresh, happy - and the dogs are actually looking into the camera like trained professionals. I don’t know how she did it, but Darian found a way to charm them, engage them, and hold their attention longer than we ever could. My husband barely managed to get out of bed - and yet in the photos he looks like a man radiating energy, optimism, and possibly a whole fitness routine. Darian made magic. She knew all the best spots, guided us gently, was unbelievably patient, caring, and tactful. Honestly, going back to San Diego just for another shoot with Darian now sounds like a perfectly reasonable travel plan. ”
