What is your love story?

We connected through work at first and developed a friendship that grew into something more. I visited her in her home country to spend time with her. We knew from that point that we had a strong connection and the love grew from there. Now I can't imagine being without her.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We planned a trip to Toronto together and I thought it would make the trip so special if I proposed in one of their scenic areas.

What is your proposal story?

I took her to High Park in Toronto. I was very nervous. I was also nervous about not finding the photographer. There is a big beautiful pond in High Park that was perfect. We even walked by a swan basking in the sun by the pond. She walked up to the pond on her own for a better view and just at that moment I saw the photographer and waved her to come over to us. I walked behind my fiancee up to the water and started the proposal.

How did you meet?

School

What is your love story?

We knew each other through tennis in high school. It wasn't until college where we eventually sat next to each other because we didn't know anyone else in the class. The rest was history!

What made you choose this proposal destination?

We definitely wanted to take a trip to Canada and visit Toronto and Niagara Falls. I just happened to stumble upon High Park and fell in love with what it looked like in autumn.

What is your proposal story?

I'd say our proposal story is pretty light hearted and a special one. She was definitely suspicious that there was a chance that I'd propose during the trip and the fact that I told her I'd propose to her this year. That being said, I definitely took her on a rollercoaster rides of if I'm going to do it or not but the surprise was definitely there!

Best tip for proposing in Toronto

No anything in particular. It was definitely helpful that the special instruction stated that there was no in-park in the Park on the weekends!

How did you meet?

Tinder

What is your love story?

I met Emily on Tinder right after we both finished university. We instantly had a connection as we had the exact same taste in music and TV shows. I could tell right away that I wanted to be with Emily. I joked that she was the female version of me as we had so many similarities. It turns out we spent our whole lives oblivious to the fact that we lived 10 minutes away from each other. I knew she was the one after our first trip together to Montreal. And the fact that we lived together during COVID and managed to not kill each other.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

I always knew I wanted to propose at a park. I chose the Toronto Music Garden because it is one of the most beautiful parks in all of Toronto. It has so much amazing scenery and it is right on the waterfront!

What is your proposal story?

I hired a picnic company to set up a beautiful picnic for Emily and I at the Toronto Music Garden. I also hired a photographer from Flytographer to capture our special moment. After Emily said yes we spent the afternoon having a photoshoot done and enjoying each other's company at our picnic.

Best tip for proposing in Toronto

The park was A LOT busier than I thought it would be. Especially since the weather was warm and COVID restrictions were recently lifted. If you are going to propose at a park in Toronto, just keep that in mind.
