1. I love photography because it gives people something they can carry with them: a feeling, a moment, a sense of place. I don’t just take pictures, I help people slow down, notice where they are, and remember how they felt. What makes me unique as a photographer is that I see each session as a story. I pay attention to the light, the background, the emotion, and the little pauses in between. I guide gently, so you feel at ease, but I also listen. Every person is different, so I adapt to what you need and make sure your memories feel like you. Before the session, I’ll ask a few simple questions, which will shape the story we tell together.
2. A photo session with me feels like a relaxed walk with a friend, one who knows the city and knows how to guide you gently without making you feel posed. My approach is calm and observant. I’ll walk you through a mix of iconic spots and quiet corners, looking for beautiful light and genuine connection. I adapt to your pace, your mood, and the story you want to tell. My style is natural and expressive, with movement, emotion, and just enough direction to make you feel confident and present in the moment. We’ll work together as a team, and when we connect and trust the process, the results are always something special.
3. One thing I always recommend is to experience Amsterdam early in the morning, before the city fully wakes up. The light is soft, the canals are quiet, and you get to see a more peaceful side of the city that most visitors miss. Plan a slow walk and watch reflections on the water near the bridges of the Canal Belt; those early moments feel almost like a secret, and they’re perfect for photos too.
