Meet Diana in Hong Kong

I fell in love with Hong Kong more than 15 years ago. I love the challenge of capturing the chaos and calm of Hong Kong life. I was trained as a visual journalist, so I have a documentary approach to vacation photography. I specialize in outdoor and street photography. I love to capture candid moments as well as styled shoots.

Three Things

  1. I studied art photography as an undergraduate student. Later, I went to graduate school for new media journalism and became a video journalist for many years before moving into family photography.
  2. One thing I can't live without is comfortable shoes: my Birkenstock Boston clogs.
  3. When I lived and worked in Berlin, I would practice my German with a toddler in my neighbourhood. Sadly to say, my German has gone from bad to non-existent.

Diane was such a lovely part of our Hong Kong trip! Communication before the shoot was fantastic, and meeting her felt like catching up with someone we already knew. She was warm, friendly and so much fun, picked wonderful spots, and gave us clear guidance with poses so we never felt awkward or unsure of what to do. We absolutely loved the photos—her professionalism and eye for detail really shine through in the finished result. Diana was fantastic and so accommodating for us and my sister’s delayed flights. We are taking a Mom & sister trip to Hong Kong & China. I requested a custom route along Nathan Road, Kowloon to capture the essence of 1960’s “older HK” where Mom had some favourite memories. Diana captured exactly what I was looking for.
