I’m Lauren, the photographer who makes your Hawaiʻi photos feel easy and stress-free. Originally from Milwaukee, I’ve called Hawaiʻi home since 2015. I understand how meaningful time here can be, and I love helping people leave with photos that truly reflect the feeling of their trip. My approach is relaxed and intuitive — sometimes calm, sometimes energetic — with clear guidance and an eye for beautiful light and natural moments, so the experience feels fun, effortless, and memorable.

Three Things

  1. I love photography because it lets people hold onto moments that would otherwise pass too quickly. What’s unique about my approach is how much I care about the experience, not just the final images. I focus on creating an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves, whether that means keeping things calm or bringing a little energy when it helps. With clear guidance and an eye for natural light and real moments, I aim to create photos that feel genuine and bring people back to how their time together actually felt.
  2. A photoshoot with me feels relaxed, guided, and natural. I give clear direction, so you’re never wondering what to do (but of course, I also leave space for real moments to unfold).
  3. I always recommend getting out on the water. A boat ride to see turtles or, depending on the season, whales and dolphins is a really special way to experience Honolulu. My husband is a boat captain, so I’m always happy to point people in the right direction.

We just did our maternity shoot with Lauren, and I could not be more excited about the photos. This was my first time using flytographer and it was a seamless experience. Lauren was in touch with me as the weather was changing and she is extremely knowledgeable with the topography, but also as a photographer. She arrived with clear instruction, was very efficient, quick, and fun to be around. She had lots of poses prepared and ready to go, and I didn’t have to think about anything which was a nice relief. She’s very laid-back, made me feel very comfortable, and the photos came out perfectly. I appreciate her extra time and generosity that she spent on us and would definitely recommend her to anyone booking a shoot in Honolulu. We opted to do the Kualo Ranch and it is such a beautiful setting with the high mountains in the back in the beach, highly recommend

Lauren was incredible to work with! She was very patient and sweet with our toddler, and she was really able to capture her personality in the photos! I really appreciated how she coached us through the shoot to get the best background and angles. 12/10 would recommend Lauren and would absolutely book with her again!

Lauren did an exceptional job with our recent family photos! She was patient and flexible to fit the needs for our individual and extended family! She adapted to the needs of each family (that had children from 8 weeks old to age 6) and was able to capture more of the candid moments vs. staged photos. Thank you again!

We had a wonderful experience with Lauren! She did an amazing job, especially considering the boys were not exactly interested in cooperating for pictures. She was so patient, kind, and professional, and managed to capture so many beautiful moments despite the chaos. We absolutely love how the photos turned out and are so grateful for her patience and talent. We highly recommend Lauren!
