I was born and raised in Singapore, and have been living in Japan for twelve years. I'm thrilled to be able to share with people my love for my city and life in Japan. I started my photography in landscape photography so you can see my love for landscape and nature in my photography. I love documenting people while they explore and enjoy the views in Japan. I love capturing images that are simple, candid with beautiful composition and framing. I love finding beautiful backdrops and spots and helping clients to be comfortable to get candid images.

Three Things

  1. I was a Special Education Teacher and English Assistant Language Teacher before I became a Photographer.
  2. When I'm not taking photos I love spending time with my family, cuddling with my boy and cat, and learning new languages!
  3. I couldn't live without sunny days. I grew up in sunny Singapore and instantly feel energized on sunny and blue-sky days ☀️

Kai was absolutely wonderful! From the beginning, she was excellent at communicating through the Flytographer app and even helped me arrange our timing so we could have the best possible photo shoot. She arrived right on time, spoke wonderful English, and immediately made our family feel comfortable. We were all dressed in traditional kimonos in Kanazawa, and Kai captured the experience beautifully. The photos turned out absolutely amazing and are something our family will cherish forever. Having professional photos taken while dressed in our kimonos ended up being one of the most special keepsakes from our trip to Japan. I would highly recommend Kai to anyone visiting Kanazawa and would absolutely choose her again!

We enjoyed our time with Kai! She was very patient with our toddler as we’d have to give snacks in between each shot before the melt downs began. She captured beautiful photographs and was engaged w/ our toddler.

Kai was so wonderful to work with and her photos are stunning! My husband and I are both awkward in front of cameras but Kai was great at keeping us comfortable and capturing natural shots. We love them!
