Meet Kanekoa in Kona

Kanekoa was fantastic to work with. He was easygoing and so accommodating of our 4-year-old — he let him go at his own pace and got creative with whatever our son was up for, never fazed by it. The whole shoot felt natural and easy. We went in just wanting to authentically capture this season of our life, and Kanekoa was a great match for that in both skill and energy. He got a mix of gently posed shots — guided, but never stuffy or rigid — and genuinely in-the-moment ones. Would wholeheartedly recommend him to other easygoing parents!

Kanekoa is an amazing photographer - this was by far the best photo shoot we ever had! His attention to detail is impeccable and he had wonderful recommendations for our photos, including how we were positioned to get the best shot. Our kids loved working with him, too! And while it’s tough to keep their attention for a full hour - Kanekoa had a special way of making it super fun. During the shoot, my kids kept saying how great Kanekoa is - and he is “5 stars.” I highly recommend him if you’re on Big Island and want some amazing photos that will make your memories last forever.

Our experience with Kanekoa was incredible. He made it so fun and gave us many beautiful images that we love. Not only is he very talented, but he made our time together enjoyable. Our photoshoot was on the eve of a hurricane, and he communicated so well prior to the shoot about whether or not we could even do it.
