I love to introduce other travelers to this vibrant city while hanging out and taking photos. I adore real emotion above all else. There is nothing more important to me when I take photos than helping people remember how they felt while they were traveling (not just where they went or what they saw). I want my clients to look back at their photos and remember the awe they felt the first time they stumbled out of the subway up into the middle of Times Square or the surreal moment of shock upon seeing the New York skyline in person after years of seeing it in movies!

Three Things

  1. I've been a full-time photographer since 2007, and have lived and worked all over the US, France, and Switzerland.
  2. I cannot live without good food. Whether it's a hot loaf of multi-grain bread handmade by my husband, a four course meal at Pil Pil, or a glass of wine on a terrace at sunset... I just love sharing good food with wonderful people.
  3. I'm obsessed with storytelling. I've been photographing other people's lives as a way to tell their stories since 2007. But I love telling my own stories through writing novels and illustrating children's books. I can't wait to tell the story of your New York visit!

Kari expertly navigated us through multiple stunning locations in Central Park and captured our personalities perfectly. This was our first shoot in ten years and she made us feel so comfortable. She ensured our vision for the shoot was met and got us a mix of nature and city shots. The photos look natural and beautiful. The lighting and composition is perfect. Kari was amazing to work with! She was professional, personable, and made sure to ask for our ideas while keeping the girls engaged and comfortable throughout the entire photoshoot. She took the time to get to know my daughter and her friends, making the session fun and enjoyable for everyone. As a bonus, she even included the moms in a few photos to capture special memories from our NYC birthday trip that we’ll cherish forever!
