Meet Cho in Tokyo

I really enjoy meeting people from all around the world and sharing our cultural feelings and thoughts. My photography style is simple, candid, and photojournalistic. As a photographer I love capturing natural moments. This means you don’t need to worry even if you feel shy in front of the camera🥰 Since 2017, I’ve been working as a photographer in Tokyo, shooting with over 300 clients every year. I focus on capturing the unique atmosphere of Tokyo, from famous landmarks to hidden spots.🏮 I also take care to ensure that our sessions are respectful of passersby and local shopkeepers. Don’t worry too much—just relax and feel free to reach out anytime! You can check the lovely reviews❣️📝⬇️

Three Things

  1. When I am not photographing I like watching movies from every country. I'm especially a big fan of the Japanese director, Koreeda Hirokazu. I've been studying his style of shooting and mise-en-scene through his movies to improve my photography skills. I prefer more candid and natural photos than staged shots. I focus on creating images that feel like still cuts from a movie, filled with atmosphere and emotion.
  2. A photoshoot with me is relaxed and easygoing. Many of my clients have never done a professional shoot before, so I guide them with simple directions to help them feel comfortable. You don’t have to worry about posing — I’ll help you feel natural in front of the camera while you just enjoy the moment.
  3. After graduating, I started working in marketing and sales with LG electronics for 4 years in Korea. I quit at the beginning of 2017 because I wanted to do what I love instead! After leaving the company, I flew to Spain to start the Camino de Santiago (pilgrim’s way to Santiago Compostela, Spain). While walking 20 kilometers every day for 30 days, I could focus on myself and think about my past and future. It was then that I made my decision and decided to come to Japan to work as photographer 🧡

We had a fantastic experience with Cho for our proposal! He showed excellent initiative and planning by providing a detailed strategy for executing the surprise proposal. He was familiar with the inspirational materials we provided and was able to translate them into breathtaking photos. Throughout the entire shoot, he was thoughtful and gave us clear direction, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment knowing our photos were in capable hands. The photos turned out fantastic, and we couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience during such an important moment in our lives. Highly recommend Cho!

Loved the pictures that were taken during this trip to Japan. Cho really captured what we had wanted in our pictures. He was easy to work with and my 2 boys felt really comfortable with him. We ran into some scheduling issues, but helped make the photo session work out. I would definitely recommend him!

Cho was absolutely amazing and very helpful. He of course knew amazing spots for photos and went above and beyond to get the perfect shot! The whole process went very smoothly, especially with it being a proposal. He communicated very clearly during the set up, picking the perfect spot and signaling when it was time to get on one knee.
