Hi, I'm Miho! I'm a documentary-style photographer. After earning my Master's in Digital Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York, I spent 12 years photographing families, couples, weddings, and portraits throughout New York City before returning to Japan. My background in journalism and documentary photography has shaped the way I see the world. Rather than focusing on stiff poses, I love capturing genuine moments, natural connections, and the little details that tell your story. My goal is to create timeless images that bring you back to how those moments truly felt.     Favourite Place to Shoot: I love Tokyo Tower, Asakusa, and Kagurazaka because of their Japanese historical environments.

Three Things

  1. The Shitamachi area of Tokyo is one of my favorite places to explore. It offers a glimpse of old Tokyo, where traditional streets, local shops, and a slower pace of life create a charming contrast to the city's modern skyline.
  2. One of my favorite restaurants is Yamano Chaya in Akasaka. Located next to Hie Shrine in the heart of Tokyo, it feels like a peaceful escape from the city. Surrounded by lush greenery, it's the perfect place to enjoy delicious eel dishes in a beautiful traditional setting.
  3. I always recommend exploring Tokyo without a strict itinerary. Wander down a quiet side street, browse a tiny local shop, relax in a neighborhood café, or spend time in a peaceful park. Some of the most memorable moments in Japan happen when you slow down and discover the city beyond its famous landmarks.

It was a wonderful pleasure to have Miho as our photographer in Tokyo! Miho made our entire photoshoot experience completely effortless and fun despite the rainy weather.
