One of the last undeveloped stretches of coastline on Kauai’s South Shore, Maha’Ulepu is wild, and utterly breathtaking. Dramatic sea cliffs, wind-sculpted sand dunes, ancient fossilized footprints in the rock, and pounding surf crashing against the lithified cliffs make this one of the most visually dramatic locations on the entire island. It’s the kind of place that rewards those willing to venture a little off the beaten path. The route takes you along the clifftops and down to the beach, with some light hiking on rocky terrain involved. Good footwear is a must! The dramatic scenery more than makes up for the effort, and the sense of having this spectacular corner of Kauai almost entirely to yourself makes for a shoot that feels genuinely adventurous and memorable. Travel fees apply at this location. Some hiking on rocky terrain is involved.
